Depois do estrondoso sucesso da terceira edi\u00e7\u00e3o, a C\u00e2mara Municipal de Guimar\u00e3es aceitou entusiasticamente o convite para voltar a acolher o festival, que acontecer\u00e1 novamente no <strong>Teatro Jord\u00e3o<\/strong>, um espa\u00e7o magn\u00edfico e recentemente revitalizado da cidade-ber\u00e7o.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Os valores da ABVP \u2013&nbsp;<strong>viajar (e produzir conte\u00fados de viagem) com \u00e9tica, respeito pelas culturas e pelo planeta<\/strong>&nbsp;\u2013 estar\u00e3o como sempre espelhados na escolha das palestras e oradores, com o objetivo de refletir e contribuir para (re)imaginar a ind\u00fastria e o mundo das viagens. Ser\u00e3o oradores nacionais e internacionais, grandes viajantes e contadores de hist\u00f3rias, profissionais reconhecidos nas suas \u00e1reas de atua\u00e7\u00e3o. In addition to his work as a photographer, since 2013 he has also been engaged in cultural discovery and adventure travel as a travel leader, currently running his own travel agency, <em>Trilhos da Terra<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Bernardo plainly considers himself to be a traveller who loves breathtaking landscapes and simple, special people. It is mainly on foot that he enjoys travelling, photographing and making contact with people, as this is how he feels genuinely close to everything around him and can document everything with the necessary calm.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cTraveling with a Purpose: Transforming Lives in Madagascar\u201d is the theme of his talk, because this is a special country for Bernardo. It is in photography that he has found a place to repeatedly return and share his professional activity. His photographic training has been built autonomously, through constant exploration and research and by attending selective complementary training courses in fields of interest or that challenge him. His approach is similar to that of documentary photography and he works on topics with which he identifies himself or that concern him. He particularly enjoys the processes of research, documentation and exploration, because in addition to being an artistic goal, it is important for him to experience a process of personal growth when undertaking each project.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Vicente will tell us about his process of documenting the traditional rural culture of Galicia, a way of life that, as happens in so many other places, is on the verge of disappearing and with which he has a special relationship. O seu trabalho divide-o entre os Himalaias e a Amaz\u00f3nia, onde usa a sua forma\u00e7\u00e3o em antropologia e investiga\u00e7\u00e3o criminal para apoiar comunidades ind\u00edgenas na luta pela sobreviv\u00eancia, expondo a destrui\u00e7\u00e3o ambiental, as invas\u00f5es de terras e a viola\u00e7\u00e3o dos seus direitos. Ao mesmo tempo, dedica-se \u00e0 preserva\u00e7\u00e3o cultural dos povos que o adotaram, envolvendo-se em projetos de fortalecimento de identidade e repatria\u00e7\u00e3o de patrim\u00f3nio sagrado. O que temos para aprender com essas comunidades?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong><em>Journey to the Ethnosphere: stories of struggle, hope and learning from the Himalayas to the Amazon<\/em><\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>V\u00edtor da Silva is an ethnographer and indigenous rights researcher. His work is divided between the Himalayas and the Amazon, where he makes use of his training in anthropology and criminal investigation to support indigenous communities in their struggle for survival, exposing environmental destruction, land invasions and the violation of their rights. At the same time, he is devoted to the cultural preservation of the peoples who have adopted him, getting involved in projects to reinforce identity and repatriate sacred heritage. His postgraduate thesis, \u201cRitual, Resistance and the Right to Exist\u201d, focuses on the relationship between sacred rituals and the power of resistance among indigenous people in Brazil. V\u00edtor is a fellow of the <em>Royal Geographical Society<\/em> and of <em>Centro Amaz\u00f4nico de Educa\u00e7\u00e3o e Pesquisa Ambiental<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For V\u00edtor, this will be a return to his origins, as he was born in Guimar\u00e3es.
