GENERAL STATEMENTS:

Not to use the name of the ABVP or the blogger’s membership to obtain personal advantages or privileges.

TRANSPARENCY TOWARDS THE MARKET:

Clearly and honestly report the blog’s audience figures, respecting the metrics used on the market and always presenting the source of the reported data;

Not to use illegal means to increase the audience of the blog or the blog ’s (and blogger’s) social media channels;

Fair pricing in relation to the market, not offering to potential advertisers and sponsors prices so low that they will devalue the work carried out and harm other bloggers;

If a blogger participates in competitions or awards for travel blogs , he or she must not use any illicit, fraudulent or ethically reproachable means to attract votes.

TRANSPARENCY TOWARDS READERS:

In the case of sponsored posts , bloggers must clearly inform readers that the text is being published with the support of the company involved, either through a banner or in text format (at the beginning or end of the post);

In the case of sponsored trips (blog trips), bloggers must also point out this fact in the relevant texts (at the beginning or end);

In the case of sponsored trips, bloggers must make it clear to the organiser, before the experience begins, that the publication of all materials is exclusively at the blogger’s discretion, without external interference, and that said publication will be in line with information accuracy and the quality of his or her lived experiences. In other words, the blog ’s critical standpoint must always be respected;

When publishing press releases sent by press offices or marketing departments, bloggers must clearly indicate the source of the material and not appropriate texts as their own;

When receiving commissions from companies listed on the blog (including through affiliate programmes), bloggers must make this fact clear to readers.

RESPECTING COPYRIGHT:

10) Should bloggers wish to use third-party photographs, they must contact the respective author and request authorisation to use the picture;

11) If a blogger wishes to use texts that are not his or her own and have been published on other blogs, bloggers should only use a brief extract of the published material, clearly quote its source and direct the reader to the original webpage via a ‘follow’ link;

12) Should a blogger have texts by guest authors published on his or her blog, whether through guest posts or otherwise, the authorship must be clearly indicated; bloggers must not ‘appropriate’ third-party texts.
